Shema 2017 – Sunday, April 30, 2017, 2:00 to 5:00 PM

A Metro DC Synod Youth event for 3rd-6th graders. This event will be hosted by King of Kings Lutheran Church in Fairfax, VA.

Our theme this year is We Need You to Be You and we will be using the wonderful movie, Wreck-It Ralph, to explore several faith lessons shown by the fictional lives of Ralph, Felix, Vanellope and others in the video arcade. It would be helpful if you could watch the movie with your youth before coming to the event.

Shema will provide a wonderful opportunity for your upper elementary youth to join with other Lutheran youth outside of their home congregation for an afternoon of faith-forming activities, fellowship, food and fun! Activities may include storytelling, music, worship, games, a service project, craft, and a snack.
